CHOICESS is making a difference by partnering with

Soles4Souls Mission
Soles4Souls is a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty.  The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes and clothes from individuals, schools, faith-based institutions, civic organizations and corporate partners, then distributing those shoes and clothes both via direct donations to people in need and by provisioning qualified micro-enterprise programs designed to create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities.  Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Soles4Souls is committed to the highest standards of operating and governance, and holds a four-star rating with Charity Navigator.

March madness:

Creating possibilities

It’s that time of year again! No, I don’t mean basketball, but the time when get to go out and spend some time together and celebrate who we are! March is Developmental Disabilities month, and we will be hosting a night out to promote awareness and everything CHOICESS. We will be eating at Peppertree Grill located at 322 W. Sierra Madre blvd. Sierra Madre, CA 91024. We will be there from 4-9pm on the 24th of March. Come by and grab some great happy hour foods, and a portion of your bill goes towards CHOICESS!

This event is held every year in Toronto Canada and we are blessed that it will be in California this year. What a rare treat to be able to spend a week with some of the most important people from around the country and the world that do our work. This is an experience that has a beginning and an end that your presence is required. You will not be disappointed the wisdom, learning and growth and connections that you will make from around the world will be priceless.


Communication workshops:

This workshop provides an opportunity for individuals and their families, staff, teachers etc. to receive some personal coaching on how to use augmentative communication systems.

If you are someone that does not like to fly or has difficulty with navigating airports and plans and would like to explore and experience the process to better prepare your self then this event is for you.








Movies in the park are back

We are so excited to be partnering with the City of Arcadia once again to bring the community together and provide a wonderful free event for everyone. Starting on July 10th, and going each Friday until August 21st, we will be hosting movies in the park. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved and help provide a meaningful and fun activity to all. It takes a village as the old saying goes, so we need your help so that we can provide an extraordinary event. Here is how you can help!


Set up team: The set up team is responsible for setting up the table and chairs for our booth to see wonderful refreshments to attendees. Help assist with any special guests or partners with there booths, arrive at 6pm


Tear Down team: The teardown team ensures that everything that has been setup for our booth is taken down, put away. Helping any partners with tear down of there booths.


Café crew: The café crew oversees the refreshments, keeps the drinks cool and helps sell the items. Keep the table stocked up and share information about the movies, CHOICESS or any of the partners that we will be collaborating with.


Connections Crew: As members of the community come into the park you are the first people that they will see. You are responsible for greeting, passing out any information or giveaways, directing people to where to go and offer to help any community member that needs help to cart in chairs, and blankets.


Sponsorship team: The sponsorship team will be responsible to obtain partners that will assist us to host and put on a successful event. Obtaining sponsors, donations, raffle prizes, and activities for kids and adults to do while they are waiting for the movie to begin.


Movie enthusiast: Well that is the rest of us if something above does not feel right and you just want to come and enjoy a free movie night out well this is the event for you. Come join local community members and have some fun!
